Facilitation and Training
Facilitation was my first love as an Informal Educator. The art of crafting stories through a process of facilitation.
I quickly combined this with becoming a trainer, writing much of my own material which has been used nationally, and becoming a Mental Health First Aid Instructor. The work of Mental Health First Aiders is crucial, and this work sits well amongst my other strands as we meet in places where our Mental Health may have been struggling, and where we still struggle to speak of our mental wellbeing.
I have met so many wonderful people in my own journey as a facilitator and trainer, many of whom have an impact on my own story.
Facilitation
I have facilitated many groups, designing processes and sessions that enable creative conversation and dialogue, developed in a way that enables the group to meet its objective.
This might be developing a new strategy.
It might be around governance or building trust or building team.
It could be developing skills around becoming effective as a team.
Facilitation is an art – of creatively designing a process and then holding a space for effective conversation, dialogue and storytelling.
Training
I have spent 30 years designing excellent training material . A well written training session or programme enables participants to build understanding, skill, knowledge and expertise in areas that will enable them to become more effective in their own work.
Some of the areas that I could work with you include:
- Mental Health First Aid England Instructor
- conflict resolution
